A vertically oriented vellum page features black Gothic script framed by elaborate blue and gold scrolling vines. To the left, a light-skinned figure rises from a pink flower, reading a book. In the lower margin, a red-winged creature with a human face and a miter crawls right. The text column contains large blue and red initials. Delicate birds and floral buds are scattered throughout the dense, sprawling foliage along the margins.
