A vertically oriented vellum folio features Latin text in black Gothic script. An ornate blue, red, and gold initial dominates the upper left. Delicate vine borders with tiny gold leaves and colorful buds frame the block of writing. In the margins, a green hybrid sits on a blue orb, while a red creature with a hooded human face crawls below. Birds and butterflies are perched amidst the swirling, intricate foliate designs.
