One side of a vertically oriented cream-colored page features thirteen lines of Nasta'liq script, a style of Persian calligraphy, written with ink. The fluid text has sweeping horizontal strokes in black, occasionally marked by small red or orange dots. A thin rectangular border of gold, red, and blue lines encloses the script. Mottled brown staining marks the bottom, where rhythmic, interconnected strokes create a dense field of graceful, curved shapes against weathered paper.
