The vizier tells the king a story about the wicked ways of women.

Description

Above, the handmaiden addresses the king, who is seated on a large throne. She begs once again for the prince to be executed for a crime he did not commit. In the lower register, the bound prince kneels, barefoot and surrounded by armed guards. His execution will be stopped for the second time by one of the king’s viziers.
A vertically oriented painting features three stacked sections. In the top register, a light-skinned figure in an orange robe sits on a platform under a golden canopy, facing two figures who gesture toward him. In the middle register, three armed soldiers in vibrant orange, blue, and yellow robes stand behind a bound, kneeling figure against a blue background. Seven lines of black script fill the bottom panel. The palette features bright orange, yellow, and blue.
