A tan bone spindle whorl, used in spinning yarn, is shaped like a circular dome. The polished surface features dark brown mottling and fine, vertical incised marks. A horizontal row of three circular holes crosses the center; a large middle hole is flanked by two smaller openings, the one on our right marked by a dark notch. Despite visible surface wear, the bone retains a smooth, lustrous finish.
