Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
A vertically oriented graphite drawing on off-white paper depicts a figure with light skin tone in profile from the waist up against a plain background. Facing our right, the person has dark hair gathered at the nape and wears a loose, long-sleeved garment. Their right arm reaches forward with a hand slightly raised. Quick, gestural lines define the upper body, while the lower form remains loosely sketched and indistinct.
