Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
A horizontally oriented graphite drawing on beige paper across two sketchbook pages depicts a village scene suggested by loose, gestural lines. On the left, gabled houses line a road, their windows rendered with rectangular strokes. On the right, clustered buildings overlook figures suggested by curved, wavy outlines.
