Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
A horizontally oriented graphite drawing on cream paper depicts figures in a landscape rendered with loose, dark lines. In the lower center, a figure runs right, trailed by a small dog. To our left, another figure crouches. Behind them, a row of sketchy trees fills the upper left. On our right, a fence separates the foreground from a house and shed. Gestural, scribbled marks define the ground and distant structures.
