Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
A graphite drawing spans two pages of an open horizontal sketchbook. Thick lines and hatching depict a landscape with figures. On our left, a figure in a hat sits facing away from us. On our right, a group of figures stands together. In the background on the right, rectangular buildings and a tower crown a hill. Scribbles across the bottom of both pages suggest uneven ground.
