Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
Graphite on vertically oriented cream paper features two gestural figures rendered with scribbled strokes and dark loops. The overlapping forms occupy the center, while a small circular shape floats to our right. Loose lines and smudges define the bodies against the blank page. Faint discoloration marks the right edge, and the handwritten number 145 appears in the bottom right corner.
