Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
A vertically oriented graphite drawing on off-white paper features four loose sketches of seated figures. In the upper half, two figures sit with their backs to the viewer; the one on our right rests their head in their hand. Below, two gestural figures sit facing each other. Rendered with thick, dark lines and minimal detail, the composition includes a handwritten '93' in the bottom right corner.
