Description

This sketchbook contains 59 pages of graphite drawings and 16 watercolors made at various locations on Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
Graphite on horizontally oriented, aged cream paper depicts a simple sailboat positioned left of center. Rough shading strokes define two sails above a minimalist hull. To the right, vertical cursive text reads "The Dells" and "No 127." The paper surface shows light staining and dark specks, with a small Roman numeral "IV" inscribed in the bottom left corner.
