Description

This sketchbook contains 72 pages of pencil drawings and 9 watercolors of Cape Ann. On the inside of the cover Prendergast wrote the address of the Granite Shore Hotel in Rockport, Massachusetts.
A vertically oriented graphite drawing on cream paper depicts three nude figures with light skin tones in loose, looping lines. At the top center, a person sits with their back turned. To the right, a standing person faces away with an arm raised toward their head. In the bottom left, another seated figure leans to our right. The number 63 is written in the upper right corner.
