A vertically oriented etching in black ink depicts a rural scene. In the center, a person with a light skin tone in a wide-brimmed hat leans over a stone well. A wooden pole juts diagonally from a tree on our right. To our left, cows stand beside baskets. Dense, frenzied dashes form the leaves of a large tree behind them. Repeated, fine lines and layered hatching create the textured, hilly landscape.
