A vertically oriented print in black ink shows a vast field of grain with stalks swaying right in frenzied, rhythmic dashes. Small figures and horse-drawn wagons traverse the middle ground. Beyond, rolling hills are textured with dense cross-hatching and clusters of trees. Fine, horizontal lines create a sky. Repeated, layered strokes define the landscape, guiding the eye from the foreground's thick grass to the distant, wooded hills.
