A vertically oriented etching in black ink on paper depicts an expansive field. In the foreground, dense, energetic strokes and swishes create a texture of tall grain. Beyond this, receding rows of haystacks lead toward a small, dark cart and animal in the middle ground. Rolling hills rise toward a dark, heavily hatched tree line against a pale horizon. Fine lines and intricate cross-hatching define the varied textures throughout the landscape.
