A vertically oriented etching on light gray paper depicts a wide street with tall, narrow buildings to our right. Delicate, gestural black lines suggest chimneys and rows of windows receding into the distance. Tiny figures walk across the open foreground and center, rendered with minimalist, sketchy strokes. Much of the composition remains blank, punctuated only by the fine lines and a small, butterfly-shaped monogram on the right edge.
