A horizontally oriented lacquer and watercolor box lid depicts miniature landscapes in warm browns and muted reds. On the side, a small building and spindly trees sit among large, interspersed floral blossoms. A deep notch is cut into the lower left edge of the rounded, varnished form. The composition blends delicate scenery with decorative botanicals, creating a narrative flow across the glossy, tan colored surface.
