A rectangular lacquer box base features indented corners and a golden exterior depicting a rolling landscape. Architectural elements on the left transition into flowering plants with white blossoms toward the center. A thin, silver-colored band separates the body from a tall, reddish-brown inset rim. Both the interior and rim are filled with dense gold speckles, the intricate landscape motifs against a shimmering ground contrasting with the rich, speckled inner surfaces.
