Description

This lace flounce depicts an urn alternating with a large floral motif.
A horizontally long off-white linen bobbin lace strip features repeating patterns of stylized urns and palm trees. Densely woven motifs stand against an open, net-like ground, linked by curving vines and scrolls. A straight top edge contrasts with a scalloped bottom border of rounded points. Alternating urns and trees create a symmetrical rhythm, with fine threads creating intricate lattice-like fills within the larger organic shapes across the uniform textile.
