Description

This print was published as plate 12 from the series The Bathers.
A horizontally oriented print in black ink on light paper depicts an older man seated in a bathtub, facing our right. He wears a shirt and pointed nightcap, his face marked by a furrowed brow and open mouth. Hazy, smudged shading suggests steam. To our left is a fireplace; to our right, a chair draped in clothing. Text above reads "LES BAIGNEURS" and title below reads "LE BAIN CHAUD."
