A circular iron sword guard features a dark, pitted brown openwork design. At the center sits a tall, narrow oval opening. Gnarled branches with ribbed leaves curve around the space; a jagged-edged branch arches right, while two pointed leaves extend left. Four thin bars intersect to form a lattice pattern at the bottom left. The weathered metal surface shows a rough texture, framing these organic and geometric elements within the circular silhouette.
