A circular iron sword guard is forged with a dark, matte patina. At its heart, a thick oval plate holds a vertical keyhole opening, flanked by two rounded side gaps. Six stylized chrysanthemums with layered petals and textured centers encircle the core. Arcing stems, accented with small pointed nodes, tether the blossoms to each other and the slender outer rim, forming a delicate, symmetrical openwork lattice.
