A tsuba, a circular iron sword guard, features a central wedge-shaped opening. Radiating openwork petals fan across the right half. To the left, a solid section is incised with dense radial lines and contains an oval opening. A small, five-petaled flower is pierced near the bottom left edge. The dark, weathered surface has a matte texture with hints of brown oxidation.
