A circular iron sword guard features a weathered, dark brown patina with subtle pitting. A central vertical opening tapers upward, flanked by symmetrical openwork forming a lattice of interlocking, petal-like curves. These cutouts create trefoil patterns radiating toward a solid, rounded rim. Light glints off the uneven metal, highlighting the contrast between the dark, textured surface and the airy, geometric negative space of the ornate design.
