A tsuba, a circular iron sword guard, centers on a narrow vertical opening flanked by two rounded apertures. Wing-like iron shapes span the upper half, detailed with fine, striated gold-colored lines. Curving bands trace the outer rim, defining open negative spaces. The dark-brown and black surface is weathered with a textured, pitted finish. This solid yet openwork composition frames the central blade entry within a sturdy, organic metal disk.
