A horizontally long fragment of deep black velvet features irregular, angled ends. A dense, tonal pattern of winding vines, lobed leaves, and small blossoms covers the surface, created by varying pile heights. A horizontal seam runs through the center, dividing the textile into two slightly offset panels of matching floral designs. Across the strip, the uniform black pile highlights the intricate texture of the botanical motifs.
