The Cleveland Museum of Art's Information Management and Technology Services has a position available for a Technical Project Manager. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing technical deliverables and related documentation for engagement-focused, public-facing apps and interactives. Ensuring that deliverables are clearly defined, implemented using best practices, thoroughly tested and completed on schedule. This position will be the lead project manager for the implementation of Gallery One 2.0—concept through launch. 

•Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the museum’s digital strategy and current technological infrastructure. 

•Project manager for the development of new systems and improvement of current systems.

•Primary liaison between development and user support for public-facing apps and interactives. Providing maintenance checklists and training and tier-two-level troubleshooting. 

•Implement/fine tune Android/Apple analytics for all apps/interactives.

•Identify creative technological solutions to further the museum’s goals.

•Identify opportunities for and implement automation in data processing and analysis tasks.

•Coordinate development to ensure brand consistency across the museum’s digital offerings. 

•Participate in drafting contract specification to ensure language clearly and concisely specifies desired outcomes. 

•Rigoursly test and analyze vendor deliverable to verify consistency with specifications. 

•Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or similar discipline. Two to four years’ experience managing development projects. 

Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Ability to negotiate and facilitate negotiations between technical and nontechnical counterparties.  Experience with relational databases and complex query syntax, LAMP/LEMP stack, Python, XML/PHP/HTML authoring, shell scripting, API specification and integration.  Ability to understand, document and explain complex technical information. Experience with version control (preferably git). Very strong attention to detail and ability to learn and develop new skills.
